According to a new report, MTV has reached out to Beyonce to open the 2014 Video Music Awards, wanting her to perform a medley of songs of her most recent album "Beyonce".
The process is still said to be in early stages, with big wigs wanting Bey to film video teasers for the big show (August 24th) and they want her SOLO.
Yup.
That means without her husband (and possibly soon to be ex) Jay Z.
Bey is up for 8 moon men at the big event, including one for Video of the Year for "Drunk in Love" along with Jay Z.
Beyonce famously performed at the 2011 show when she confirmed her pregnancy with Blue Ivy while Jay stayed offstage high fiving pal Kanye West.
The same sources are still claiming that Beyonce and Jay have moved past their marriage and are strictly "professional" now.
Whatever that means.
