UPDATE:
The coroner's office held a press conference just minutes ago, stating that Robin did in fact hang himself. They also noted that the last interaction Robin had with his wife, was 10:30 the night before. She then went to bed.
When she awoke this morning, she assumed Robin was still asleep, and left the residence to run errands. Robin's assistant arrived shortly later and found him.
The coroner's office also revealed details that Robin had superficial wounds on his wrist. A knife, with what appeared to have blood on it, was found as well.
Toxicology tests will be taken to determine if Robin had anything in his system at the time of his death.
Breaks my heart.
Following an early report that Oscar winning actor Robin Williams had died by suicide via asphyxiation, there is now confirmation to that.
Multiple sources are now reporting that Williams hung himself in his home and it also appears he left no suicide note.
It was previously confirmed by Robin's rep that the actor had been battling a deep depression.
Just absolutely gut-wrenching to lose such a talented man.
A press conference is expected at 11AM PT from law enforcement.
RIP Robin.
