There are reports that Joan's heart stopped beating, although briefly. She is said to be in critical condition.
Joan Rivers was rushed to an NYC hospital just minutes ago, according to a breaking report from TMZ.
The 81 year old comedian was undergoing a throat surgery on her vocal chords during an in-clinic procedure when she reportedly stopped breathing during the surgery.
She was then rushed to Mount Sinai, where she is currently.
Daughter Melissa is said to be on her way into New York.
