UPDATE:
Simone was reportedly found in her apartment early this morning, hanging from a rod in her bedroom closet.
So young.
Pop musics newest girl group is suffering quite the loss right now, as member Simone Battle has died at the young age of 25.
A producer friend named Derek Butler, confirmed the sad news via Instagram last night without giving any detail as to the circumstances. Reign Deer Entertainment, Robin Antin and RCA Records released a joint statement saying:
“We are deeply saddened by the tragic news of the loss of Simone Battle of G.R.L.
Simone was an exceptional young talent and human being, and we are all devastated to learn of her passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and loved ones at this time.
Simone broke through into the business by appearing on the US version of 'X Factor', making it to the live shows back in 2011. She was then picked up by Robin Antin for a revamped Pussycat Dolls group, before the name was changed to GRL.
