And it's all thanks to "The Elusive Chanteuse".
Following a longtime collaboration, reports are flying that Mariah Carey has actually fired Jermaine Dupri who acted as her manager as well.
If the firing is legit, it comes on the heels of Mariah's latest album "The Elusive Chanteuse" under-performing with sales of below 100,000 copies.
The same report is claiming that Mariah is now working with Kevin Liles, who coincidentally was the manager of Def Jam Records during Mimi's 12 year reign with the label. That also coincided with the smashing success of her Grammy winning album "The Emancipation of Mimi" (12 million copies).
The road has been rather rough for our beloved songbird, following a much criticized role on "American Idol" (which was plagued with fights with judge Nicki Minaj), failed promo singles and then the fall of "The Elusive Chanteuse".
For the record, that album is FANTASTIC and it's a shame it didn't perform better.
