Ugh.
Tragic news has broken today that former "American Idol" contestant (back in season 7) Michael Johns has passed away at the very young age of 35.
Reports are saying that Michael suffered an ankle injury, and his death was caused by a blood clot in his ankle. The sources are saying the injury triggered the clot, and that Michael died in his sleep.
Idol has just released a statement on his passing:
Michael Johns was an incredible talent and we are deeply saddened by the news of his passing. He was a part of our AMERICAN IDOL family and he will be truly missed. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family and friends during this difficult time.
Michael was a tremendous talent, and was one of my personal favorites from that season.
