This is awful.
Sky McCole Bartusiak was only 21 years old, and it's tragic to report she has passed away.
The actress was seen in the Mel Gibson epic film "The Patriot" back in 2000. Other than that film (and "Sick Boy"), she stayed in various short films.
The report coming in is that Skye had been suffering from seizures, and this past Saturday morning, her boyfriend found her sitting up in bed, unresponsive.
The family believes she may have had a seizure and choked to death.
As of right now, there is no report of foul play or suicide.
RIP Skye.
