While the world still mourns comic legend Joan Rivers, we're now discovering more details that led to her unfortunate passing.
A new report circulating is what transpired while Joan was undergoing her endoscopy procedure, and the clinic could very well be in serious trouble if this is proven accurate.
According to TMZ, Joan's procedure should have ONLY been performed in a hospital, and not in an outpatient clinic. When the doctor noticed something on Joan's vocal chords, he decided to biopsy it. This action led Joan's vocal chords seizing up, thus slamming shut. When they attempted to resuscitate her, her heart stopped.
Medical experts are sounding off now, claiming the biopsy was far too risky for outpatient surgery and should have only been performed in a hospital.
